Eh I actually wore this the other day, but I forgot to publish it, so we can pretend I'm wearing this today. Though it's much colder this week. Grr. It was freezing yesterday. AND IT'S MAY! Sigh. Why you no come faster, Spring?
 
Anyway. I'm pulling a Ferris Bueller today. Actually, I should not be making that reference because I've never actually watched the movie, but yeah. Didn't go to school today because my allergies have been killing me, and I've been feeling pretty crummy lately. That, or I just have a cold. I can't even tell. But one of my eyes feels like it's exploding right now. Argh. I'm pretty sure it's allergies.
 
So now, here I am, on Polyvore instead of in French class.
 
But. I'm being responsible and using these extra hours to study for my history test on Friday. Sooo I should get back to that.

P.S. One of my classmates was telling me a funny story... This past Sunday, someone was like to them, "Well today is a pretty special day!" And she was like, "Oh yeah, cause it's Mother's Day!" Went to the city with my friends today... that was fun! I had the most delicious smoothie. Nom.
 
It was so nice outside today, too! I really can't wait for summer! I feel like I say that every week. Haha. But it's true.
 
Watching Grey's right now... I love this show so much! Omg. Love this Matthew character. He's such a cutie.
 
Ah Gatsby came out today! I really wanted to watch it, but then I heard it wasn't so good. But I heard the only redeeming part was Leo's acting, so yay for Leo :)

So sorry, I did another one of these layouts. But unfortunately I don't have time to make a real set this weekend. But hey, think about it this way-- I save so much time with these layouts I was able to make two for you this weekend! :)
 
It's been so nice lately and all I want is to lie in the sun, under the trees, with the birds and the bees, reading Perks or TFIOS. Sighs. But one of my best friends slept over last night because both of her parents are away, and I literally haven't had a sleepover since I was like 13 or something, and this was so fun. Haha. We talked so much and it was a nice break after a long week.
 
And next weekend I'm going to the city with a bunch of my friends (granted, it's to see a museum for a history assignment, but hey, it's gonna be fun :))!
 
Um I want to go shopping so bad, but I literally never have money. Ever. Lol. Eww I sound like such a brat. But it's so hard for a Poly/Tumblr girl when we're surrounded by such gorgeous clothes all the time, ya know? Lol.
 
Do you know that I have to physically log myself off of Tumblr and Polyvore to prevent myself from checking it every 5 seconds. Ugh. Fact: I deprive myself of sleep to allow myself the pleasure of going on Polyvore/Tumblr/Facebook throughout the day.
 
And lol I was thinking the other day how weird it is that not more people in my school have Tumblrs (or use it like cool Tumblr people do ;)) and are really like "Tumblr-girls", ya know, and how no one's discovered Polyvore and actually go on these sites and have presences on them like I do. Because, I don't know, it's so fun, right? And then I realized, "Oh wait. It's because I don't have a life." Lol. But whatever. Internet life > real life. Haha. No, but don't worry, I'm not an isolated freak. I promise. I hang out with my friends too (sometimes) ;) ;) ;)
 
But anyway. This distracting myself business has gone on for too long now. I must bid you guys adieu.

Lol this song is so /country/. Not what I normally listen to, but sometimes I really enjoy that haha. I don't know, Megan and Liz covered it and I was like, "Ooh what song is this?!" and then I looked it up and watched the music video and just cracked up. But the lyrics are pretty cute. And it just gets stuck in your mind.
 
But, so, HEY GUYS! How's life? Well, I hope.
 
Haven't been able to go on Polyvore a lot because I have a heck of a lot of work, but I think we have something like 6 weeks left before finals so hopefully it's all good. Btw, anyone taking/has taken the AP US exam? Because I haven't started studying it and have like 2 weeks left.... oops. But I'd greatly appreciate some advice on how to attack it ;)
 
So our last assignment in English was this creative writing assignment where we had to write a short story modeled on like the whole party theme in Gatsby. So for the last two days in class, we've just been reading them aloud in class, which has been fun. But so this girl, who's pretty much perfect, was reading her story about how when she went back to her hometown--some snazzy, rich neighborhood--for the first time in years, she had a little party with all her old friends who she hadn't seen in forever, and it was pretty much about how they've changed insanely and become so superficial, etc., etc. and how she's glad she's from New York and more down-to-earth. But so, during the story, she notes like how one of her friends was wearing Louboutins and how one of them models for Louis Vuitton, etc. (basically pointing out these things to like sort of mock their lifestyle) and basically that town sounds unreal, like think Sutton Mercer in "The Lying Games," but also, so she's reading this story, saying these girls had become so tall and skinny and like typical won't-touch-carbs girls and gets their hair done every morning, and meanwhile, this girl (the one in my class) wears designer brands literally every day , does her hair every morning, and is insanely tall and skinny herself. Like what. Lol. No, but she is really nice and even though she looks perfect she isn't in any of those popular groups or anything because she's wayyy more down to earth then them. But it was just funny listening to her talk about these girls when she, herself, totally appears to be one.
 
Anyway that wasn't interesting. Why don't you guys tell me stories about you. How are /your/ lives?
 
Lol today's my ex-best friend's birthday and I don't know what I should write on her wall because this is the first year I've had a Facebook. #awkward #whydidigetafacebook
 
So I have two days to write my research paper, so I should get to that.

Finally an OOTD for you guys! And lol sorry, @hijabikebabi, for using this layout again, but I only have time to make actual sets during the weekends!
 
So I don't actually own loafers like these. The shoes I wore today were leopard print flats, but while I was searching for a pair like mine here, I stumbled upon these adorable ones and they were too darn cute to pass up! But yeah. Pretty simple outfit otherwise, but I'm a pretty simple gal, as you guys know. I thought the printed shoes were a nice final touch to push the outfit up a notch, though. Nothing incredibly creative here, but I liked it. And for the first time in a while, I remembered how nice it felt to wear something you actually felt cute in. Lol. Cause lately it's been a lot of slacker "leggings-and-a-random-sweater" type outfits for me. My jean-wearing days are long gone. Lol. They're just so uncomfortable! But so, today was more of a "let's actually try to look decent" day.
 
But anyway. I'm so excited for tomorrow! My friends and I are having a baking party because we're holding a big bake sale for our club, and it's going to be so fun, and I've literally been looking forward to this all month. Lol. But yeah. Other than that I'm gonna have a ton of work this weekend :( Wish me luck!

Yeah, no, this isn't an OOTD either. Sorry for that misleading first set/explanation with this layout. Going forward, I think I'm just gonna stop apologizing because you'll probably pick up on the fact that I just make this layout when I feel like it and not necessarily to share an OOTD. Haha. I don't know, I just really like this layout sometimes and it's fun/easy to do when I don't have a lot of time! But, in my defense, it /was/ a gym day today, so I was just wearing a boring leggings-and-a-sweater outfit.
 
Anyhoo. It's been so pretty outside these past few days! It's misleadingly sunny for being so cold/windy, but, hey, at least it looks pretty! :)
